How to cook Chicken Biryani

Remember I talked about shooting a video at uncle's place when he cooked Chicken Biryani? After giving up on using a firewire cable, I finally did the video-transfer using USB and then edited it yesterday (basically to bring the whole thing down to less than 10 minutes).

By the way, don't watch this video if you are hungry right now and you are a non-vegetarian and you are sure that you won't be getting to eat anything for at least quite some time. I say so, because this video will definitely bring water to your mouth and make you twice more hungry than you are.

And yeah, the Biryani was mast! :) Enjoy watching the video (it's in Hindi).

Jaanwar

Geetali, while going through my mush post, wondered when did Akshay Kumar sport a mush! Luckily I found this youtube video which will answer her comment.

By the way after seeing this video, I realized what 'looking like Akshay Kumar' really meant. He looks ugly in here! Babu Luhaar! LOL!

The making of the Civicube

Neelabh wanted to know how he could do the kind of graphic work that I did for the Civicube for folks at his office. Quite a few guys keep asking me to put them photoshop fundays to get them started. Well, on considering Neelabh's request I thought why not make a video where I teach how to go ahead and create a text cube. After all it's a very easy job! So here is the video. Have fun.

I hope you guys could follow my instructions. Let me know if I could improve.

PS: In case you want to make such videos yourself, but don't have a screen recording software, I would recommend CamStudio. It is free and it works.

Holi Classic Video

This for sure was the best Holi video this Holi. I loved it. :)

India

I thank Neha for passing the link to this video. I like it. India rocks!

Winter Vacation 2006

The young man you know is me. The young man who is taller and fairer is my bro. The not so young man (with not many hairs on head) is dad. The woman is mom. The video gets boring after a while. But you have so much time to kill. So do that.

Campus Life

The editing of the video put below was finished today, on my DELLruba (that's what I call my comp). No, I didn't do much. All I did was provide clips that have been used in the first few scenes of the video (the clips were shot by me last sem, including the monkey that you see :) ). I of course also brain-stormed with the guys who were in-charge, but couldn't come up with any nice funda which could have been implemented in the limited time that they had and also given the pain-max cam that they had. Definitely a wonderful job. But you are the better judge. Leave comments. By the way, last but not the least, I offered DELLruba's services ;)

My room has also been featured in the video! Great! Thank you guys! This video is one of many that will be shown during the PAN-IIT Global Conference to be held in Mumbai from Dec 23rd to 25th. [news link]

Imagine

Imagine doing this when the Prof is trying to explain some equation in the classroom!

IIT Madras: the jungle

This is the first (very) short (stupid) film shot from my brand new Sony Mini DV cam (yeah it's mine only till I hand it over to dad). A very boring one in my eyes, but let it be. I should leave some scope for improvement, shouldn't I? :)

By the way the actual video that I shot was in 16:9 ratio. Google (previously youtube) however tampered it to 4:3. That's sad!

Updates: There are two mistakes in the narration:

1. The monkey that you see is a 'she'. I have used 'he' instead! oops!
2. Plural of Deer=Deer (I forgot that while narrating). Sorry for that!

Thanks to Nanny for pointing out these two mistakes.

new update: After a lot of wated time, I did figure out how to prevent Google from distorting my video. so here you have a video in 16:9 finally, the way it was actually shot.

The world's fastest Indian

This movie is a must-see for all. It's so real and so sweetly authentic and shining with the charm of the old sixites. Only when I went through IMDB, I realzied that it was released in 2005! A classic!

The movie is about an old man, who has a dream, and who finally meets it by his sheer determination. And it's based on real life. Superb! It inspires you to be a person like Burt Munro.

As usual I wept a lot. The tears of happiness, they say it; they make my life! :) Go watch this movie and you wont ever look at your Grandpa the same way!

Here's a trailor, but I think it's not effective enough. Do watch it anyways.

An Ad like this: priceless!

Have you seen one of those mastercard ads, that end with this tagline: There are something's that money can't buy. For everything else there's mastercard!

All the ads in this series have been pretty good, and always manage to leave a smile on your face.

And now, I found this one! And oh my God, this time, it was not about leaving just a smile, it was about making you die of laughter. Watch this commercial for yourself! Creative minds at work! :)

L I F E

Warning: The video below might appear just too boring and just too crap to all those who are already too sure what life is! :)

I am not too sure how well I can speak on topics like these, but then what I speak here are feelings that come from deep within!

Patna, my Patna

Stumbled upon this video on you-tube. It's an ordinary shot of an ordinary road in Patna and I was unable to notice any thing worth noticing.

What caught my attention were the kinda comments it received from people who have probably never been to any developing country. You would love them.

My favourites are:

1. omfg
2. sweet jesus, that's insane!
3. bet no one has a driving licence and their highway code is writen on a postage stamp!
4. Wow! Life sure was different in the 1800s!

The last was probably the best. :)

Hou Het Leuk

One of my good friends started smoking this sem. I never liked it, but then I am someone who respects the decisions of an individual, even if they are wrong in my opinion. So I never complained too much. Of course at times, I did ask him to quit but sadly he didn't. I seriously wish something like this (talking about the video) happens to him so that he never ever smokes again in his life. :)

There's one more great friend who started smoking after we separated in tenth (of course not because we separated). I guess he thought that taking up smoking was a way to prove to oneself that one has 'grown up'. I mean, this is just what I think. I never really asked him the reason, because in these cases, you never get the true answers afterall. He is still a best friend and I still love him so much and miss him and all that but feel so bad to think that he is a chain smoker! I wish he quit it too, sooner than later.

And if by any chance, anyone of these two sweet friends of mine has just read this blog, then dude, beware of girls smiling at you when you are smoking the next time!

Hot Het Leuk!!
